I had a great time in the Summer Language Program at Peking University. Teachers were excellent, and the setup to my liking: two hours of grammar and writing, then two hours of speaking. Small level-based classes and teaching adjusted to each student facilitated a good learning environment. My fellow students contributed to this as well. Coming from a variety of backgrounds (country-wise and professionally) most were both highly motivated and engaged in the learning taking place. Finally, PKU and Beijing is a really fascinating setting, where interesting conversations are had and there are always new things to do.
