Kishore Kumar Biswas: Bridging Chinese and Bengali Culture &Technology
With a Bachelor’s Degree from Tsinghua University, and Master’s and Doctorate Degrees from Peking University, he combines the best qualities of two of China’s most famous schools. As a student, he won gold as a representative of Peking University in the 2nd Chinese Bridge Competition. From that moment on, his fate has been inseparably bound with language.
After graduating, he stayed at Peking University as a lecturer, and teaches the Bengali Language course as part of the school’s Belt and Road program.
Outside of teaching, he is also an accomplished publisher, and promotes cooperation in the field of publishing between China and Bangladesh.
He also promotes the development of Chinese-Bengali translation. Using his interdisciplinary knowledge, he is working on Chinese-Bengali-English machine translation, and has already accomplished much in this field.
Recently, he and his team finished translating "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China " from Chinese to Bengali, spreading Chinese culture to Bangladesh. He truly is bridging Chinese and Bengali culture & technology.
