Who Are We?
Zhejiang Lab is a research institute established jointly by the Zhejiang Provincial Government, Zhejiang University and Alibaba Group in September, 2017, which is located in the central area of the West Hangzhou Scientific Innovation Corridor. Focusing on five areas including intelligent perception, artificial intelligence, intelligent computing, intelligent networks, and intelligent systems, Zhejiang Lab carries out researches on cutting-edge and fundamental topics, explores key technologies, develops core systems, and builds large-scale technology infrastructure and major research platforms. Zhejiang Lab aspires to build a world-leading basic research and innovation center to support the development of a smart society in the future.
Currently, with over 2,000 employees, Zhejiang Lab has been duly authorized to lead the construction of the Zhejiang Provincial Laboratory for Intelligent Science and Technology.

2. Ideal candidates should hold a PhD degree in one of the following areas:
Computer science and technology, software engineering, information security, artificial intelligence, mathematics, physics, mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering, instruments science and technology, optical engineering, electronic science and technology, information and communication engineering, control science and engineering, biomedical engineering.
3. Salaries and benefits
For full-time researchers, we offer a starting annual salary of 300,000 CNY. The salary for outstanding candidates will be negotiated individually, without any maximum limit.
For postdoctoral researchers, we offer a fixed annual salary of 400,000 CNY and a higher salary for new PhD graduates. We also provide rent-free and furnished apartments or housing subsidies for postdoctoral researchers.
We can assist our members in solving problems related to children’s schooling. We also have a comprehensive incentive plan based on members’ annual research outcomes. In addition, our members can enjoy free apartments, meal allowances, free gyms, and activities organized by various clubs and associations.

Frequent Q&A
1. Can I apply for more than one position and can I transfer between different positions?
Each candidate can apply for a maximum of three positions. If we find that an outstanding graduate is not suitable for the position applied to, there will be professional evaluators to recommend them to other positions. We will make sure that any outstanding applicant will have the opportunity to join us.
2. How will the interview be conducted and what should I prepare for?
For the convenience of all applicants and our recruitment team, we provide applicants with two options for interviews: in-person interviews in Hangzhou and online video interviews. In addition, for the sake of a fair, objective, and comprehensive interview, each interview will include multiple applicants.
Based on the requirements of specific positions, applicants might need to take optional psychological assessments and programming tests before the interview, as well as prepare PowerPoint slides for the interview.
3. Will there be any feedback after the submission? How long does it take to get results after the interview?

If your resume passes the preliminary selection, you will receive an interview invitation within fifteen days. After the interview, you will receive feedback on the results by phone or email within fifteen days.
