The application notice for the series of scholarships for graduate students in 2023 has been published. Eligible applicants are welcome to carefully read the relevant regulations according to the scholarship requirements and personal conditions. Please submit applications in a timely manner.
The Peking University International Student Scholarship adopts a ‘One-Time Application, Multiple Selection’ scheme. Each applicant only needs to complete the scholarship application once, and there is no need to submit it repeatedly. New students who are interested in participating in the scholarship are welcome to proactively apply. The follow-up evaluation of other categories of awards will be automatically selected from the students who have applied for the new student scholarship this time.
1. Chinese Government Scholarship for "High-Level Postgraduate" Program
(1) Applicant prerequisites
I. Meets the relevant application requirements of PKU for international students
II. Applicant has successfully submitted the application for the 2023 full-time self-financed program for international students of Peking University (Master or Ph.D.);
III. Applicants are not supported by other scholarships by Chinese government at all levels and admission institutions (excluding all kinds of one-time rewards)
(2) Scholarship coverage
Exemption of full/partial tuition fees; living expenses; accommodation; medical insurance fees.
(3) Scholarship Duration
Master’s degree: 2-3 years
Ph.D. degree: 4-5 years
(4) Application method
I. Complete the Peking University online scholarship application (from now until 24:00 on March 19, Beijing time)
Steps:
Log in to Peking University International Student Service System (http://www.studyatpku.com), select "Home" - "Scholarship Application" - "Application for Prospective Students", fill in the information and submit.
II. Complete the system application of the China Scholarship Council (from March 2 to 24:00 on March 19, Beijing time)
Steps:
Log in to the China Scholarship Council system (http://www.campuschina.org), fill in and submit, and download the application form. For specific steps, please refer to Attachment 1: Operation Procedures of the Management Information System for Studying in China with Chinese Government Scholarships.
Note:
(1) The institution code of Peking University is 10001, and the type of application program is category B;
(2) For the application materials, please refer to Attachment 2: List of Application Materials for Chinese Government Scholarship. Item 6 of the materials can be downloaded from the "Application Query" page of Peking University International Student Service System (http://www.studyatpku.com).
(3) Applicants can only apply for one major in CSC system. So if you have applied for multiple majors in PKU system, please choose one major and kindly ensure that the uploaded application materials in CSC system are consistent with the respective major as the application evaluation will be based on accordingly.
(4) The operating track of the fund committee system will not be used as a basis for admission. The admission result is subject to the admission letter of Peking University.
2. Peking University Scholarship (PKUS)
(1) Applicant eligibility
I. Meets the relevant application requirements of PKU for international students
II. Applicant has successfully submitted the application for the 2023 full-time self-financed program for international students of Peking University (Master or Ph.D.);
III. Have not received any other forms of scholarship funding;
IV. Professional degree programs, cooperative programs and English-taught programs are not included.
(2) Scholarship coverage
Exemption of tuition fees; living expenses; medical insurance premiums.
(3) Scholarship duration
Master’s degree: 2-3 years
Ph.D. degree: 4 years
(4) Application method
Complete Peking University's online scholarship application (from now until 24:00 on March 19, Beijing time)

3. Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS)
（1） Applicant eligibility
I. Meets the relevant application requirements of PKU for international students;
II. Applicant has successfully submitted the application for the 2023 full-time self-financed program for international students of Peking University (Master and Ph.D.);
III. Applicants are not supported by other scholarships by Chinese government at all levels and admission institutions (excluding all kinds of one-time rewards)
IV. Joint training programs are not included.

Steps: Log in to Peking University International Student Service System (http://www.studyatpku.com), select "Home" - "Scholarship Application" - "Application for Prospective Students", fill in the information and submit.
【Note】
1. Applicants for the "High-Level Postgraduate" program of the Chinese Government Scholarship must upload relevant materials and submit applications on the website of the China Scholarship Council in a timely manner. Those who fail to complete the application of the China Scholarship Council on time will be deemed to have given up the scholarship.
2. On the Peking University International Student Service System (http://www.studyatpku.com), each applicant only needs to submit one application and will automatically participate in the evaluation of three scholarships. There is no need to apply repeatedly in PKU system, and only one scholarship will be awarded in the end.
3. Applicants must ensure that the submitted application materials are authentic and valid. If any false material is provided, the scholarship application eligibility will be disqualified after verification; if the circumstances are serious, the admission qualification for the current year will be canceled.
4. The above scholarship application materials do not need to be mailed. The university reserves the right to require applicants to submit additional and supplementary materials. If the required supplementary materials are not submitted in accordance with the relevant requirements, or submitted after the deadline, the application will be deemed abandoned.
5. The final selection results of the scholarship are expected to be announced on the website of the International Students Division of Peking University during the period of July-August 2023.
