About the PKU Chinese Language Summer School
The Peking University Chinese Language Summer School is aimed at students from all over the world with an interest in Chinese. The summer school is offered as a four-week, six-week, or eight-week of Chinese program. In order to help students better understand China, in addition to the Chinese language instruction, the PKU Chinese Language Summer School provides a series of free lectures on interesting facets of China’s society and culture, which includes regular visits to well-known attractions in Beijing, as well as exciting student exchange activities.

Application Requirements and Admission Process
Requirements:
- Non-Chinese citizen
- Between 18 and 50 years of age (inclusive)
- In good health
- High school diploma or above
- No criminal record
Application Period
Summer 2018 Program: Online applications will open on December 1, 2017
Applications are on a ‘rolling’ (first come, first served) basis – until all places are filled
Admissions Process
Submit the Following Documents Online(Scanned Copies):
1. Photocopy of your passport information page
2. Certificate of your highest academic achievement, for example a diploma or degree, or proof of enrollment at your current educational institution
3. A recommendation letter in either English or Chinese
4. HSK Certificate or official transcripts of full-time Mandarin training (where applicable)
Note: All documents must be in either Chinese or English. If they are in another language, a notarized copy in Chinese or English must be provided
