1. According to the notice of the China Scholarship Council, this extension, in principle, is for Ph.D. candidates who are supposed to graduate in July 2021, but intend to apply for an extension of the scholarship. And the study duration of the applicant shall not exceed 5 years;

2. The applicant is required to fill in the“Application for Extension of Scholarship for Chinese Government Scholarship Students 《中国政府奖学金延长奖学金期限申请表》”;

3. In order to apply for the extension, one must first complete the procedure of extending the enrollment in his/her department/school;

4. In order to apply for the extension, one must pass the comprehensive examination and complete the thesis proposal;

5. To be eligible for application, the applicant needs to participate in and pass the annual evaluation.

Please truthfully fill in and sign the "China Scholarship Council Form for Annual Review of Chinese Government Scholarship Status《中国政府奖学金年度评审表》"（click here to download）and the“Application for Extension of Scholarship for Chinese Government Scholarship Students《中国政府奖学金延长奖学金期限申请表》"（click here to download）. Applicants must send the scanned copies of the two documents above to ischolarship@pku.edu.cn before May 7th, 2021, overdue copies will not be accepted.
