Restaurants on campus have their own characteristics, e.g. soybean milk, dumpling and noodles of Campust. Other dining rooms, like Yiyuan, Nongyuan, Yannan, Xueyi and Xuewu are also very popular among students. There is also a Shishengyuan Bar on campus.

Outside the west gate and the south gate of Peking University, there are also restaurants which provide Sichuan chafing dishes, Xinjiang flavor, Hubei flavor, Shanghai small dishes. In addition, around the China Book City and Disanji Book City, outside the southwest gate, there are many restaurants which offer various characteristics flavors, e.g. western desserts, Chinese noshes, Korean barbecue, etc. And from the southwest gate northwards, there are Japanese Cuisine and authentic Guangdong flavor.
