The Chinese courses mainly include intensive reading and spoken Chinese. All courses are taught in Chinese. To help students better understand Chinese culture and society, the PKU Chinese Language Summer School will also offer a series of lectures on Chinese society, history and culture, in addition to the language courses. The lectures will be given by leaders of programs for students coming to China to study abroad and famous professors of School of Chinese as a Second Language. The lectures will be given in English, 2 times a week, 2 hours each session.
