The applicants must be recommended by their (preferably Chinese) teachers, their superiors at work, or others (their family members or tutors) who know their level of Chinese. There is no template for a recommendation letter. Nevertheless, the letter should include information about how long the applicant has studied Chinese, as well as his/her proficiency and interest in Chinese.
