Program Introduction
Students are required to complete the curriculum between 4 to 6 years and fulfill the designated number of credits. Successful graduates will receive a graduation certificate along with the bachelor’s degree, according to the regulation of the Degree Committee.
Application Prerequisites
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport, above the age of 18 and under the age of 25, have attained a senior high school diploma. Residents of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan who have emigrated to other countries and are applying to Peking University as international students must present valid passport or citizenship documents dating from before April 30th 2013, along with proof of residence abroad of at least 2 years between April 30th 2013to the application deadline (9 months of residence abroad per year may be considered as one year).
2. Requirements for international student admission into Peking University Bachelor Programs (Without Sitting the Entrance Examination) are as follows:

Application Process
1. On-Line Registration
1.1. Please register your details on
http://www.studyatpku.com .Please fill and submit the “Without Sitting the Entrance Examination” application form and also print a hardcopy for reference. The online application will start on January 1st 2017 and end on March 10th 2017. In general, applicant will be able to check the application status in 10 working days.
2. Submit Application Materials.
2.1. After completing the Peking University Application Form for International Students on-line please print and attach a 2 inch passport-style photo.
2.2. Senior high school graduation diploma (Students expecting to graduate should provide an official letter stating expected graduation date, and submit the graduation diploma if admitted), which should be original documents or certified copies in Chinese or English.
2.3. Official transcripts of your academic achievement up to the present, including courses taken and standard achieved (original documents or certified copies in Chinese or English).
2.4. A copy of your HSK results. Candidates who are not exempted from taking the HSK examination are to present the certificate of HSK 6 (over 210 points).
2.5. Two letters from your referees. The recommendation letters must be original documents, either in Chinese or English.
2.6. One photocopy of your valid passport (must be a valid ordinary passport).
2.7. Additional materials may be requested from Peking University

Application Fee
800 RMB. Payment by cash Unionpay bank card or online payment. Any other currency or travel cheque would not be accepted. Please note that incomplete application materials or applications without application fee will not be processed.The application fee is not refundable.
Admission Ticket Printing
The International students division will check the application materials in 5 work days. Applicant could print the admission ticket after Apr 1st online.
Admission Interview
Successful applicants are required to participate in an admission interview conducted by Peking University in April. During the interview, applicants are required to bring their admission ticket passport and visa documents. Applicants whose documents do not comply to the requirements will be disqualified from the interview overseas applicants could request for webcam interview, kindly email your request to

Admission
Admission will be determined according to the application materials and the interview. The admission result will be issued online(http://www.isd.pku.edu.cn) after the interview. The " Admission Letter " and the attached documents can be obtained by the end of June.

PKU International Students Scholarship
Peking University offers full/partial scholarship for outstanding students. Full scholarship covers tuition fee, 2000RMB/month living allowance and medical insurance of the first year. Partial scholarship covers tuition fee of the first year. Students may apply for the scholarship after the admission announcements are made. For more details, please visit the International Students Division website.
Medical Insurance
The regulation of Chinese Ministry of Education requires that all international students must be medically insured throughout their entire planned period of study. Students are required to purchase the Comprehensive Insurance Plan of Foreign Students online before the registration or on the day of registration. Students who do not have valid medical insurance are not allowed to register.

Non-Chinese government scholarship students are required to find their own living accommodation. Please note that students who live off campus must register to the local police station within 24 hours.
Visa Information
Students admitted to PKU may apply for your visa at the Chinese Embassy/Consulate in your country with your letter of admission and JW201/202 form. International students who will study in China for over 6 months are required to obtain ‘X1’ Visa, which will only be valid for 30 days after arrival in China. International students must come to the International Students Division and apply for a Residence Permit within these 30 days in order to obtain a legal status in China.
