The annual evaluation for Chinese Government Scholarship students is currently under way. The performance of the scholarship students will be evaluated and only those students whose performance is approved will be able to keep their scholarships for the next academic year. The following students are REQUIRED to participate in the evaluation:
1. Chinese Government Scholarship holders who will still be a student in September 2017.
2. Students who originally planned to graduate in July 2017 but have already applied for or plan to apply for an extension of their scholarship.
● Undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students, as well as senior visiting scholars should prepare the following three documents:
(i.)
Form for Annual Review of Chinese Government Scholarship Status (中国政府奖学金年度评审表)
(ii.)
Annual Evaluation of Chinese Government Scholarship – Annual Evaluation Form for Departments (中国政府奖学金院系评审意见表);
(iii.) A transcript of their grades.
● After filling in the first two forms and obtaining the transcript, the student should take the documents to the office of the department or school the student is studying in before April 6, 2017. For the location of your office, please check the attached file entitled
“Offices of each Department or School”.
Note: Undergraduates' transcripts should be offered by their department/school
Master's and PhD students’(transcript should be printed by graduate school’s self-help printers found on the first floor of the New Sun Student Center)
● Pre-University students, General visiting scholars (including those who are taking Chinese language preparatory classes) only need to fill in the “
Form for Annual Review of Chinese Government Scholarship Status” (中国政府奖学金年度评审表). This form should be turned in to the Departmant Office (The School of Chinese as a Second Language, Room 218) before April 6, 2017.
● Students who plan to apply for an extension of the scholarship should bring the required documents to the International Students Office before April 15, 2017.
Those who fail to participate in the evaluation process without valid permission will forfeit the Chinese Government Scholarship, and the scholarship will be cancelled starting from August 2017.
