Established in 2013 by the Bai Xian Education Foundation, the Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program aims to promote the common prosperity of Asia by engaging students from Asian countries in cultural exchanges and shared experiences. AFLSP 2017 is now open for Japanesestudents who are now studyingat Peking University. Successful candidates will be offered scholarships throughout the academic year 2017-2018.
Eligible Applicants must be:
1.Japanese nationality, officially registered at Peking University.
2. Existing student of Peking University, eitherundergraduate or postgraduate(master and PhD included) includingstudents newly enrolled in September 2017.
3.Proficient in English language

USD 12,500/ Recipient
Awardees are obliged to
1.Participate in the 2018 Bai Xian Asia Institute Summer Program;
Note: anyone who won’t be able to do so shall explain their situation in written form and participate in the program next year.
2.Participate in special training programs and events as required by Yenching Academy of Peking University;
3.Spend one year living at the Asian Youth Center of Peking University (Zhongguan Xinyuan Building 6);
4.Meet other selection criteria set by Bai Xian Asia Institute;

Selection Procedure:
1) Recommendation and nomination of candidates by Peking University;
2) Evaluation and result announcement by Bai Xian Asia Institute.
Notes:
1.The scholarships will be awarded to their winners through Peking University Foundation, 1/3 of the total amount will be offered before the Summer Program, and the rest 2/3 after.
2.Apart from the scholarship, every awardee will be granted the title of Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Winner.
