Program introduction: Against the backdrop of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education set up a Chinese language teachers scholarship online program to provide overseas learners with opportunities to continue learning Chinese. At present, application for online learning for the spring semester Chinese language study program, 2021 is open.

Eligibility:

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese and age between 18 and 35 years old.

2. Applicants have to be recommended by Confucius Institute, Confucius Classroom or HSK examination center.

3. Chinese proficiency: 180 points of HSK Level 3 or above, with HSKK score.

4. Applicants with X1 and X2 visa on their passport will not be admitted.

Funding Target: Online tuition fee for spring semester, 2021 (March to July).

Application Process:

Step 1 Sign up online

Log in to the website of Center for Language Education and Cooperation (cis.chinese.cn) to register, fill in your personal information and submit, download the Application Form for International Chinese Language Teachers.

Step 2 Please send the electronic version or scanned copy of the following materials to ischolarship@pku.edu.cn

Note: the following materials should be in Chinese or English.

1 Application Form for International Chinese Language Teachers;

2. Certificate of highest education diploma / certificate of enrollment;

3. Transcript;

4. Recommendation letter from the recommendation agency;

5. Personal statement;

6. HSK transcript;

7. HSKK transcript;

8. The front page of the passport.

* If the application materials are incomplete, the application will not be accepted.

* Those who are admitted must register in the international student application system of Peking University and send the original of the above materials. The specific measures will be further notified.
