Eligibility requirements

1.According to the notice of the China Scholarship Council, this extension is inprinciplefor Ph.D. studentswho were originally going to graduate in July 2023, butintend to apply for an extension of the scholarship.The total study duration of the applicant shall not exceed 5 years;

2.In order to apply for the scholarship extension, the applicant must first complete the procedure for extending their student status with his/her department/school;

3.In order to apply for the scholarship extension, the applicant must pass the comprehensive examination and complete their thesis proposal;

4.To be eligible for application, the applicant needs to participate in and pass the Chinese Government Scholarship annual evaluation.

Application Deadline:

Please submit your application by email to ischolarship@pku.edu.cn before May 5, 2023. Late submissions will not be accepted.

The subject of the email should be: “Extension of Application for 2023 Chinese Government Scholarship Students (Ph.D. students) + student ID number”
